Ken Farrar Live Demo: See The Northern Lights from inside The Avens Gallery! Saturday May 18th, between 11-4pm, watch Ken Farrar bring his artwork to light and life by painting with phosphorescent acrylics. Ken will also unveil new unseen works that day. We are lucky to have him, and look forward to adding magic to your Saturday! "My paintings are unique as they self-illuminate in the dark. I achieved this result by developing a process of adding phosphorescent components to acrylic paint. It took several years to develop this process, which allows paintings to appear brighter in darkness, with no external source of light, than they do in daylight. This glow effect lasts for periods of up to eight hours and is simply repeated by again exposing the paintings to a source of light." |
