The Avens Gallery was originally known as The Mountain Avens Gallery, which opened in June 1977. While the gallery was first housed in a small building on 9th Street in Canmore, the mandate was to showcase local artists. Growing into a larger space in 2002 allowed for the gallery to broaden our representation, but we still take pride in showcasing the work of Canmore’s many fine artists. As of December 1st, new owners Curtis Golomb and Andrea Ritchie are honoured to represent the Avens Gallery and its artists, and will continue with its commitment to fine art.
