“As I have progressed through various phases of my life, I have participated in the creative process. In elementary school, my notebooks became sketchbooks. From those beginnings, I went on to graduate from Graphic Arts at the Alberta College of Art (1972) and then my sketchbooks became illustration board layout pads. I spent 25 years creating advertising, graphic design and illustration with agencies and as an independent consultant. These experiences helped me see a world of patterns, shapes and colours in everything around me.

In the late 90’s I moved into the fine arts and began exploring stained glass and sculpture. Particularly through the medium of glass, I am inspired to interpret these elements into a one-dimensional surface that represents the colour, shape and texture and perspective of an original object, scene or feeling. With multiple individual pieces of glass, a new image is created of these interpretations. Each piece is an original creation reflecting what I see as my daily world changes around me, ever providing new and exciting opportunities.”
