Flower: Tangerine Gerber Daisy.
This is how a bumble bee would see this flower; aiming for the centre, zooming between the petals. I called this painting “Jewels” because of the large drops and glistening flecks of pollen. Traditionally, flowers are completely seen with a margin around them, but this painting is no so much about the flower, but the flower is the place to set the jewel drops. When droplets land on a petal, or begin to flow down, gravity flattens the shape, or elongates it as it falls.l
